Italian manufacturer chooses DeWitt for North American headquarters
Maschio Gaspardo, an international company specializing in the production of agricultural machinery for tillage, seeding, haying landscaping and crop care will move its North American base of operation from Eldridge to DeWitt early in 2014. Maschio Gaspardo Unigreen Group has purchased the former Stolper Industries building from Agracel Inc. of Effingham, Ill.
The facility will be the new logistics hub for North American manufacturing for the company, which also will produce planters and cycle mowers in DeWitt. The company has 11 plants worldwide, including seven in Italy and one each in India, Romania and China as well as sales branches all over Europe.
