Global Iowa Award
The Iowa Economic Development Authority developed the Global Iowa Export Award to recognize companies for excellence in exporting. We would like to take to congratulate a few of the highly innovative, successful, global-thinking Iowa companies!
Eligibility:
All companies located in the Prosperity Eastern Iowa region with a product or service produced, manufactured or added-value to in Iowa, who are successfully engaging in the export of these products or services are eligible for nomination. The PEI region includes Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones Counties and the cities of DeWitt and Marion. Nominations can be made by an employee of the organization or by a knowledgeable person from outside the organization. Nominations are due electronically by 4:30 p.m. on February 22.
Criteria:
Nominations will be judged by their commitment to exporting, product and business innovation, along with noted accomplishments within today's global market.
Restrictions:
Iowa companies will not be eligible for nomination within 5 years following receiving the award.
Persons, firms or agencies must be an Iowa operation; and must not be involved in litigation with state or federal agencies or of a character which might bring discredit to the state, the award, or to the recipient.
Presentations:
The 2012 Global Iowa Export Awards will be presented at the "Buy Local Sell Global Exporting Conference" on March 29, 2012 at Hotel Julien in Dubuque.
